Shanghai Health and Elderly Care Development (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Shanghai Kangyang) was established on August 8, 2022 with a registered capital of 5 billion yuan. It was jointly funded by Bright Food Group and China Pacific Insurance Group. Shanghai Kangyang is a functional guarantee and market-oriented enterprise group dedicated to elderly care services. It focuses on inclusive and diversified health and elderly care services as its main business, with finance empowerment and digital drive as two engines. It deeply cultivates four core business segments: ‘integration of medical and elderly care, institutional elderly care, home and community care, and out-of-region elderly care’. It aims to build a people-centered, collaborative, and diverse health and elderly care ecosystem, striving to become the leader of high-quality elderly care services in Shanghai.

Shanghai Kangyang actively builds medical and elderly care integration projects that integrate ‘medical care, rehabilitation, elderly care, nursing, and catering’. It constructs embedded institutional elderly care projects that combine ‘institution, community, and home’. It builds a home and community system featuring elderly catering and home care. It explores and forms a new model of ecological and green out-of-region elderly care in the Yangtze River Delta. Relying on the industrial advantages of Bright Food Group and China Pacific Insurance Group, it explores and practices the high-quality development path of elderly care in the new era.

Donghai Geriatric Nursing Hospital

Shanghai Donghai Geriatric Nursing Hospital was established in June 2002. It is a comprehensive hospital under the large state-owned enterprise Bright Food Group, integrating geriatric medical care, geriatric nursing, geriatric rehabilitation, and hospice care. It is a designated medical insurance unit.The hospital is located in the comprehensive service area of Pudong Lingang New Area, accompanied by the beautiful Shanghai Flower Port and Dishui Lake. The hospital covers an area of over 82,000 square meters, with a beautiful environment and fresh air. The ward facilities are complete and comfortable. It has over 1,500 open beds, with a 24-hour care model without family accompaniment. Services include medical care, health consultation, chronic disease management, disease diagnosis and treatment, traditional Chinese medicine conditioning, nutritional support, perioperative care, rehabilitation training for bone injuries and major diseases, and daily living care.

North Zhangjiabang Road Nursing Home

The project is located at Building 2, Lane 168, North Zhangjiabang Road, Pudong New Area, about 1 km straight line from Lujiazui. The total construction area is about 3,254 square meters, with 82 approved beds, mainly double rooms with a few quadruple rooms. The building has 4 floors: the first floor mainly serves public functions such as dining area, activity area, and rehabilitation exercise area; floors 2-4 are the elderly care area; the roof is an open-air terrace garden.

 

Adhering to the concept of ‘Shanghai Kangyang, thinking ahead for you,’ the project is positioned as an inclusive, high-quality embedded elderly care institution. It innovates a ‘small unit family-style’ care model. From the self-care stage to the nursing cycle, through the ‘medical care, rehabilitation, elderly care, nursing, and catering’ five-in-one elderly care service system, it provides the elderly with diversified and comprehensive services such as nutritious meals, daily care, medical care, psychological comfort, and social entertainment. The institution has established a medical alliance resource platform, with a general practice clinic and general practitioners stationed on-site, and coordinated visits with tertiary hospitals and community health service centers.

 

As a research and transformation base for elderly nutritional meals, the institution relies on the entire industry chain of Bright Food Group to achieve from field to table, ensuring that the elderly eat well, eat right, and eat safely. At the same time, this project is also a production-education integration base of Kangyang Group. It cooperates with Shanghai Urban Construction College, Shanghai Science and Technology Management School, etc., to build a three-level training system and cultivate professional talents for the elderly care industry. The project was put into operation in September 2024.

 

Jujiaqiao Yiyang Center

The project is located at Building 2, Lane 955, Jujiaqiao Road, Pudong New Area, with a total construction area of about 5,069 square meters and 167 approved beds, including 31 beds for dementia care. The building has 6 floors: the first floor mainly serves public functions such as dining area, multi-functional activity area, calligraphy, painting and handicraft area, chess and card room, karaoke room, medical rehabilitation area, and alley garden. The second floor is a dementia care area with single rooms as the main type. Floors 3-6 are general care areas with double rooms as the main type and a few triple rooms. The roof is an open-air terrace garden.

 

The project creates a six-in-one elderly lifestyle of ‘Yi Xing (comfortable walking), Yi Ju (comfortable living), Yi Jian (comfortable health), Yi Le (comfortable happiness), Yi Xin (comfortable mind), Yi Shan (comfortable dining).’ It is an embedded comprehensive elderly care space integrating functions such as daily care, health management, nutritional meals, psychological comfort, social entertainment, and community integration. It jointly builds a ‘Brain Health Room’ with Dongfang Hospital, fully realizing the transition from ‘single care’ to ‘full-cycle health management.’ It comprehensively upgrades dementia care and healthy lifestyle management programs, providing more elderly families with inclusive, high-quality choices for a comfortable old age. The project was put into operation in October 2025.

Wenshui East Road Yiyang Center

 

The project is located at Building 3, Lane 181, Wenshui East Road, Hongkou District, Shanghai, converted from the former Tropical Rainforest Hotel. The total construction area is about 6,664 square meters, with about 200 planned beds. The project is currently under construction.

 

As a key livelihood project in Hongkou District that relies on existing property renovation to promote the quality and expansion of elderly care services, and as the core project of Shanghai Kangyang’s deep cultivation in Hongkou to serve the district’s elderly, the project closely aligns with the demand for elderly care in Hongkou. Adhering to the concept of ‘inclusive bottom-line, integration of medical and elderly care, smart empowerment, and neighborhood integration,’ it focuses on creating three major features: ‘smart medical and elderly care integration, inclusive and balanced bed configuration, and institutional-community linkage and sharing.’ It helps build a ’15-minute elderly care service circle’ in the district and aims to become a demonstration model for government-enterprise cooperation and transformation of existing resources into elderly care services in Hongkou District.

 

Hongsong East RoadComprehensive Elderly Service Center（including community canteen）

Tangqiao Beautiful Life Hall (Eshan Store)

Located at 428 Eshan Road, Tangqiao Street, Pudong New Area428, with 140 seats140.With the philosophy of eating seasonally and combining food with nourishment, we launch customized nutritional packages for the 24 solar terms, paired with a dietary consultation room, smart health devices, and expert science lectures, deeply integrating healthy diet with chronic disease prevention and health knowledge. It not only provides delicious meals but also creates a health science station at the doorstep, allowing the elderly to eat and learn at the same time, nourish through food, and eat their way to a healthy body.

Qibao Hangxin Road Community Elderly Canteen

Located at 228 Hangxin Road, Qibao Town, Minhang District228, with 88 seats88. The canteenis located on the first floor of Hanghua Comprehensive Service Centerfirst floor, adjacent to residential and business areas, deeply integrating five functions: art, culture, sports, food, and socializing. Using the canteen as a link, it creates a core area for diverse community activities, making dining no longer a single need but a social space for residents to relax, gather, and communicate, building a vibrant and warm15minute community living circle.

Chuanbei Good Food Time

Located at 1155 Liyang Road, Sichuan North Road Street, Hongkou District1155,with 84 seats84.Focusing on the rigid needs of community elderly assistance+dual demand for group dining, with inclusive elderly mealandstandardized group meals as the core, serving all age groups including community elderly, nearby white-collar workers, office workers, etc. Stable meals, efficient service, and affordable prices ensure the implementation of community meal assistance services while meeting diverse dining needs, warming everyone in the community with a hot meal.

Sanquan Community Canteen

Located at Sanquan Road, Pengpu New Village Street, Jing’an District524No.101, with seating capacity of60seats.With community elderly as the core service target, focusing on the elderly with poor teeth and small appetite, featuring small portions, soft texture, low oil and salt, dishes are easy to chew and digest, small portions without waste. From the hardness of dishes to the portion size, fully adapted to the dining habits of the elderly, allowing the elderly to eatcomfortableand at ease, using details to protectthe elderlydining happiness.
